Farm hosts sale for Small Miracles

Lavender Wind Farm will take 10 percent of all proceeds from sales during this weekend and donate the money to Small Miracles Foundation of Central Whidbey.

Small Miracles is a fund that supports Central Whidbey people who have been hit by a medical crisis by providing added assistance in time of need. Lavender Wind Farm is located off of West Beach Road and will be open this weekend from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Chamber members to watch whales

The Fifth Annual Welcome the Whales Festival is today in Langley from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The parade starts at 1:30 p.m.

The Langley Chamber of Commerce will host a special treat for whale fans tomorrow. Mystic Sea Charters invites all chamber members and their families to a special whale-watching trip. It will leave from the Langley Marina at 9 a.m. and return at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 20. Tickets are $25 per person.

director welcomed

The Langley Chamber of Commerce has hired Joan Stanley as its new executive director.

The chamber will thank former executive director Nancy Rowan and welcome Stanley at the Edgecliff Restaurant from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30.
