Mystery cookbooks are still available

The Langley Chamber of Commerce has Mystery Weekend “Death by Chocolate” cookbooks still available at the chamber office at a reduced price of $5.

The book features such recipes as triple chocolate bunt cake and other delectable delights.

There are also Mystery Weekend sweatshirts available for $20 and aprons for $15.

Gallery + Coffee opens next week

The Open Door Gallery + Coffee opens May 1 at the Bayview Cash Store. An opening reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. May 17.

The gallery will sell original art works by Whidbey Island artists and will also offer quality coffee, teas, cocoa and espresso drinks.

The business will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Wine tastings take flight again

Four Langley businesses will host the latest Friday Night Flight next week.

The event, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 2, includes wine and food tasting in Langley featuring vino from around the world.

This time, the Prima Bistro, The Fish Bowl, Chef’s Pantry and The Edgecliff will offer samplings of crisp summer whites paired with a small cheese plate or appetizer.

Tickets are $20 per person and are available at any participating venue.
