FREELAND — When Gabriele Schoening runs her hands over a client about 2 inches from the body — and her own body starts swaying with the energy, sometimes making a jerky movement — skeptics may wonder how such a treatment could make a difference.

But clients swear it helps with a wide range of issues, from emotional distress to migraines.

Schoening opened a space for Matrix Energetics in Freeland this week.

“I can feel into the situation,” she said.

Matrix Energetics is a consciousness technology developed by Richard Bartlett, a doctor in the Seattle area. He teaches his technique for transformation and instantaneous change all over the U.S. and Canada. People from as far as Australia, Germany and Norway come to attend his training courses.

With these techniques, it is possible to change energy patterns and create changes on emotional, energetic and at times physical levels, Schoening explained.

Schoening is a certified Matrix Energetics practitioner, certified Ayurvedic practitioner, counselor and minister.

Schoening said a matrix session unfolds as a creative dialogue using information from the subconscious mind, which can show up as images, feelings, sensations, body memory, movement, impulses and also using specific matrix techniques as two-point, time travel and universal healing frequencies.

Her work collapses energy patterns and “better patterns” will evolve, she explained.

“It’s a true blessing when that happens,” Schoening said. “Sometimes energy has been limiting people for years.”

Matrix Energetics is a method of transformation, where old energy patterns collapse at the quantum level and new energy patterns unfold.

“Usually people report to feel freer, happier and relieved in some way during and after a session,” Schoening said. “At times physical symptoms as pain or headaches shift or go away. In general people feel like they can be more of who they are and often the changes are so deep and profound, that their whole life unfolds in new patterns from that point on.”

Schoening often works with people in transition.

“I get a lot of women who want to heal their heart,” Schoening said.

She also has clients that are on the verge of a big move, a job change or are recovering from being ill. She has also worked with abused children or teenagers who are struggling with life.

“It’s appropriate for anyone, whether you are healthy or have any condition,” she added.

Treatments usually start with a longer, more intense starter session and are continued with three, five or 10 follow-up sessions.

Schoening also offers Ayurvedic consultations and holistic health education. Ayurveda is an ancient healing system from India, which teaches that in order to be healthy, we need to live and eat according to our individual constitution and live in harmony with nature and our higher purpose for being here.

“In knowing our individual Ayurvedic constitution, we can learn to choose foods, spices and supplements that support our health more fully,” Schoening said.

“By being a vibrational match to what we want, we can attract that what we truly desire,” she said.

Schoening will hold a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

She is joining with other businesses in her complex to host a community potluck and fundraiser, a “Grand Opening Health and Beauty Event” at 1635 Main St., Freeland. The event will feature Matrix Energetics, Spring’s Healthy Hair Care and other Freeland businesses, as well as stilt walkers, fun, food, music, information, opening discounts and mini sessions. Proceeds from the event will go to Friends of Friends.
