Lynae Slinden will lead the Second Street Market in Langley this year.

“We are pleased to have her on board,” said Janet Ploof, Langley Main Street Association president. “We couldn’t ask for a more qualified person to be in charge.”

Slinden has a long history as a businesswoman and volunteer on South Whidbey. She is also a former Port of South Whidbey commissioner. Most recently she spent time in Ukraine with the Peace Corps.

Slinden also manages the Tilth Market.

The Second Street Market in Langley is in its third year. More vendors are needed, especially those offering prepared foods and flowers.

The market will run this year from June 7 through September every Friday except during Choochokam Arts, July 6-7.

Applications can be found online at www.langleymainstreet.com or call 360-929-9333.
