"Essentia Day Spa now one year oldEssential Day Spa in Langley is celebrating one year of successful business as of May 1, 2000.There have been a few changes in management. A. Robert Smith of Virginia Beach, Va. has bought out Faith B. Bushby's share and is now in general partnership with his daughter, Dana Consuelo Smith. Marilyn Strong was recently promoted to manager and Judith Root is assistant manager.The staff has doubled since the business opened a year ago. Hours have been expanded as well. Essentia is now open every day, including a half day on Wednesdays. It is located below the Inn at Langley.Gemstone expert comes to LangleyLinds Jewelry in Langley will host an expert on gemstones May 5 and 6 from 10-5 each day.Cynthia R. Marcusson, of Cynthia Renee Co., Colored Gem Specialists, will meet and inform the public about gemstones. I travel to exotic locales searching for colored gemstones; move easily from primitive mining areas to Manhattan's Madison Avenue, and am expert at helping women express their beauty and strength through dress and ornamentation, she said.She began her career in 1982 as a gem mine geologist, and was soon lured by what she describes as the jewelry industry's creative challenges.While at Linds, she will answer all gem-related questions, from mining and pricing to design and adornment issues."
