New advertising rep joins the South Whidbey Record

Allison Tapert has joined the South Whidbey Record as an advertising sales representative. Tapert has degrees in journalism and Spanish from Northern Arizona University and she began working in journalism as a graphics artist and advertising representative at the Journal of the San Juan Islands in Friday Harbor.

Most recently, Tapert worked with her husband Geoff at X-Sound Engineering in Freeland. She has two children, Simon, 12 and Zoe, 10 attending local public schools and has been a board member with South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District since 2004.

“I strongly believe in community newspapers and The Record serves a very important service to South Whidbey,” Tapert said. “I’m really pleased to be a part of The Record team.”
