The juke box wasn’t enough.

Maurlee’s Take-Out & Catering is starting a jazz musicians’ jam session on Thursday nights, Maureen Cooke announced this week.

The first jam session is 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 and 10 to 12 people are expected to sit in.

Cooke said the business is also seeking a license for beer and wine sales. It is bringing in a dartboard and big-screen TV for sports fans.

On the menu side, Maurlee’s will offer Thanksgiving dinners to go this year. The business will offer both deep-fried or oven-roasted turkeys.

Maurlee’s Take-Out & Catering is located at 317 Second St., Langley. It can be reached at 221-1131.
