Freeland chamber sponsors scary-tree contest

The third annual Halloween Terror Tree decorating contest for area businesses is under way, sponsored by the Greater Freeland Chamber of Commerce.

Contestants decorate 18 trees in the contest, and then the trees are donated to the chamber’s visitor center at Highway 525 and Langley Road.

Prizes include $125 for first, and $50 for second. Decorated trees are to remain in place until 6 p.m. on Halloween. For details, call 331-1980 or e-mail freeland@whidbey.com.
