The Inn at Langley receives top honors from travel magazine

Condé Nast Traveler magazine has named The Inn at Langley one of the best hotels in the world.

The Inn was the only Northwest property to make the list of 20 top mainland U.S. small resorts. The list appears in the November issue.

Other Washington hotels were included in the top 100 U.S. hotels category. Other Washington properties mentioned in the magazine are the Fairmont Olympic, the Four Seasons Hotel and the Inn at the Market, all in Seattle, and the Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie.

“It’s gratifying to receive such high-profile recognition for the experience we provide our guests,” said Matt Costello, general manager and chef at the Inn at Langley. “For 20 years now, we have maintained our focus on showcasing the best of Whidbey Island, and offering a peaceful Northwest retreat that allows visitors to relax and rejuvenate.”

Every year since 1988, a select sample of readers has taken the Readers’ Choice Survey. In 2009, the questionnaire was available to all readers through a secure Web site. The final tabulations of 25,008 responses were conducted by Mediamark Research, Inc., of New York, N.Y.
