New health clinic to open in Freeland
Dr. Tom Harris moves across town next week to open his new family practice clinic in Freeland.
Harris, an osteopath and family practice specialist who has been associated with South Whidbey Healthcare, will open Mutiny Bay Medical in the Bluewater Building on Myrtle Street on Monday.
Working with Harris will be nurse practitioner Susan Jones of Freeland, also a family practice veteran of South Whidbey Healthcare with experience in dermatology and rheumatology.
She is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a master’s degree in science from UCLA.
“Our goal is to make the transition as painless as possible for our patients,” Harris said Monday.
He said the new clinic, independent of other healthcare facilities, will feature four exam rooms, and will focus on patients from ages 2 to adult. It will provide a full range of primary care, family practice, integrated mental health and same-day appointments, will accept most insurance plans and is open to new patients.
Harris has been in practice for 15 years, and has lived on Whidbey Island for 10 years. He’s a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Calif., with a doctor of osteopathy degree.
He and Jones are on staff at Whidbey General Hospital and Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Mutiny Bay Medical is at 5548 Myrtle Ave., Suite 201. It will be open from 8 a.m. to
5 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call 331 3391 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
