Whidbey General Hospital and the Chiropractic Zone in Freeland have teamed up to promote community wellness by offering a low-cost cholesterol/ triglyceride/blood sugar screening on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

The cost is $50 and it’s open to the public. The offer includes screening for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, fasting blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate and body mass index.

A blood sample will be obtained from a finger stick and lab results are ready in 10 minutes. A detailed education class discusses lab results, cardiac risk factors and preventative actions to take.
