Geri Mittleider has been appointed the executive director at Maple Ridge Assisted Living Community in Freeland.

Mittleider joined the Maple Ridge team over a year ago as the assistant executive director, and plans to continue Maple Ridge’s strong community involvement. She encourages residents to bring their current community activities to Maple Ridge.

Mittleider moved to Whidbey from Minneapolis, Minn. just prior to her first appointment at Maple Ridge. She is an animal lover like many on the island, and just added a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy named Zula to her family. She is also an avid hiker, scuba diver and traveler.

Mittleider hosts a monthly travel series at Maple Ridge, and everyone is invited.
