Oasis for Animals offers spay assistance
November 10, 2010 · 11:03 AM
Oasis for Animals in Langley is offering a limited number of free spay/neuter operations for pit bulls or pit bull mixes.
There will be 10 free surgeries on Nov. 17, Dec. 15 and Jan. 12. To make an appointment, call the Northwest Organization for Animal Help (NOAH) at 360-629-7055, or Oasis for Animals at 321-4142.
Reservations will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Oasis for Animals has also teamed up with NOAH to enable spaying/neutering of Whidbey Island animals at a low cost.
Oasis volunteers make weekly or biweekly roundtrip transports to NOAH’s spay/neuter clinic, with owned cats and feral (wild/free-roaming) cats and even a few dogs.
Feral cats are trapped and spayed or neutered for free, and then re-released where they were trapped. Owned cats are transported and spayed/neutered for $15. The cost for a dog to be spayed/neutered is $75.
Oasis welcomes tax-deductible donations to benefit this spay/neuter program; for more information, or to make an appointment, call 321-4142 or visit www.oasisforanimals.org.
