Jump rope event at SWHS helps heart research

Islanders who want to help the American Heart Association efforts on education and research can hop to it later this month.

A “Jump Rope for Heart” event to support the American Heart Association will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 in the gyms at South Whidbey High School and the community is invited to jump into the action.

Participants are asked to pledge a $5 donation, all proceeds go to the American Heart Association. The fundraiser will feature basketball, volleyball, Zumba, geocaching, community park trail running and jump rope.
