Annalies Schuster traveled to Olympia to page in the House of Representatives last week.

Schuster, 16, was sponsored by Rep. Norma Smith (R-Clinton). The student is a home-schooled 10th-grader and is the daughter of Linda and Douglas Schuster of Langley.

Each day from Feb. 14 though Feb. 18, Schuster attended page school to learn about the legislative process. As part of her duties, she distributed documents and notes to lawmakers and staff on the House floor, as well as around the Capitol campus.

“It has been a delight having Annalies in Olympia this week serving as a page and learning more about the legislative process,” said Smith, one of two Representatives for the 10th District.

“Annalies is active in her community, and is a joy to those that know her.

“I sincerely hope she continues pursuing her interest in public service, as young leaders like her are vital to the future of Washington state,” Smith said.
