‘Grounded for Life!’ series starts
April 4, 2011 · 7:37 AM
The Readiness To Learn Foundation will host the six-session class “Grounded For Life!”
Facilitated by school psychologist Katharine Pfeiffer, this series is for parents of wild and wonderful preteen children ages 9-13. Sessions will tackle this developmental terrain using excerpts from the books “Get Out Of My Life but first could you drive me and Cheryl to the Mall?” and “Scream-Free Parenting.” This class will address the befuddling, hilarious, sometimes enraging behaviors parents experience as their children head into adolescence.
The sessions are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, April 12 through May 17 in Room C-3 in the former primary school. A light, complimentary dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., and limited childcare is available upon request. Childcare is provided at the South Whidbey Children’s Center on school grounds.
This series is made possible by a grant from Children’s Trust Foundation.
