A work party to remove blackberries and Scotch broom along the main entrance and trails at Trillium Community Forest will be next week, said Elizabeth Guss, director of outreach and development for Whidbey Camano Land Trust.

The work party will be from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 13, at the forest north of Freeland.

Meanwhile, a walking tour through another land trust property on the South End is scheduled for later this month, Guss said.

The walk through Saratoga Woods along Saratoga Road north of Langley will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 23.
