Island County-WSU Extension Waste Wise will hold volunteer training next month.

Do you want to reduce your garbage? Would you like to discover the truth about trash, compost, worm bins, plastics, non-toxic cleaners and smart shopping? Whidbey residents can learn about those topics, and more, as a trained volunteer for the WSU Waste Wise program.

The free training will be held in three-hour evening sessions in May. Those interested should contact Janet Hall, Island County-WSU Waste Wise Coordinator by May 26; call 321-5111, ext. 7974 or 360-678-7974, or e-mail halljn@wsu.edu.
