The Whidbey Island Arts Council has charted a new course for island artists.

The Whidbey Art Trail is a new year-round studio tour of Whidbey Island visual artists welcoming both island residents and tourists.

The Whidbey Art Trail hopes to become an internationally recognized arts destination by promoting fine artists through a website, a brochure with map and the trail itself.

Interested artists are urged to visit www.islandartscouncil.org/wat.html to learn more about the trail and reaping the benefits of participation.

One of the council’s goals is to attract arts-minded travelers and patrons to visit the island from around the globe by providing year-round access to the studios of Whidbey’s many talented artists.
