Equestrian Crossings starts class sign-ups

Equestrian Crossings will hold its summer session from July 5 through Aug. 12.

Equestrian Crossings, a nonprofit equine-assisted activities program, offers classes on in-hand ground work, sport riding (English and Western), hippotherapy (physical therapy using the horse to facilitate movement or other goals), and vaulting (gymnastics and dance on horseback) to all persons, including those with special needs. ADA accessible lessons are located in Greenbank at the Reinshadow Ridge Arena on Thursdays and at the Hastie Lake Arena in Oak Harbor on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Reservations will be taken through Friday, June 17, and applications are available online at

Equestrian Crossings is also looking for volunteers for the next session, and summer volunteer training is scheduled for Thursday, June 23 in Greenbank and on Friday, June 24 in Oak Harbor. For more information, call 360-320-1573.
