The Artists of South Whidbey presented a $500 check to the Whidbey Arts in Education Commmunity Consortium for its artists-in-residence program for the South Whidbey School District and other island schools.

The program was started by Frank Rose through the Whidbey Island Arts Council and provides students and teachers hand-on arts experience through personal interaction with a professional artist.

Artists of South Whidbey sold art cards at South Whidbey High School during the consortium’s Whidbey Festival of the Arts with the proceeds going to the ASW scholarship fund.
