Clinton's Patrick McAfee earns honors in Air Force | KUDOS

Air Force Capt. Patrick T. McAfee has been named the Air Force Global Strike Command’s Company Grade Officer Space and Missile Operator of the Year 2010.

According to the Air Force, the selection was based on McAfee’s exemplary performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities, teamwork, significant self-improvement, personal achievements, notable accomplishments and community service and support.

McAfee is an intercontinental ballistic missile senior instructor combat crew commander assigned to the 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base, N.D. The captain has served in the military for four years.

McAfee graduated in 2002 from South Whidbey High School and received a bachelor of science degree in 2006 from Central Washington University.

He is the son of Bill and Diane McAfee of Clinton.
