July 15, 2011 · 7:33 AM
The Whidbey Island Rescue Fund is holding a benefit rummage sale and needs donations.
The fund was established by island-based nonprofit Operation TeddyCare, which works to help critters in need on the island.
Donations of goods or money are tax-deductible. Learn more about Operation TeddyCare at http://teddycare.coastside.net.
This event is being held in collaboration with Whidbey Animal Guild volunteers. Learn more about WAG at www.meetup.com/Whidbey-Animal-Guild/.
Donations should include a minimum price (with some kind of sticker that won’t fall off) and will be accepted at Bayview Community Hall from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 15.
The rummage sale will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 16 at the hall.
Volunteers are needed to work on Friday to accept donations, on Saturday to help sell items and Saturday evening to break down the event. For more information, email whidbeyanimalguild@gmail.com or call Aubrie Leichtling at 360-341-2928.
