Erin Pierce-Magdalik of Langley has received her baccalaureate degree in planning and environmental policy-disaster reduction and emergency planning from Western Washington University.

She is grateful for the support she received, particularly from her South Whidbey teachers and thanks Whidbey Watershed Stewards and Langley United Methodist Church for providing scholarships for college studies.
