Howard Garrett from the Orca Network will be the guest presenter at the Fishin’ Club’s meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 at the M-Bar-C Ranch.

Garrett will look at Puget Sound’s friendly, local orcas and the 88 members of the Southern Resident community.

The local group of orcas is isolated with zero contact or interbreeding with any other community. Worldwide studies show that local orcas are one of several dozen groups, each with its own diet, vocations and family system.

Everyone is invited to this interesting evening at the Fishin’ Club to hear about the aquatic neighbors.
