The September meeting of the South Whidbey Yacht Club will present “Everything You Should Know About Fiberglass; What You Know May Be Wrong.”

Chris Dupenthaler from Northwest Yachts will bring insights from his boatyard experience about this amazing immortal building material. He will bring a section of blistered Uniflite hull and describe how it happened and brought down a fine respected boatbuilder.

Dupenthaler is also a yacht broker who can answer questions about buying a used fiberglass boat; what to look for and what to avoid.

The club meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for sips and dips, followed by the program at 7, at the Honeymoon Bay Community Clubhouse, 2424 Honeymoon Bay Road.
