South Whidbey genealogy society welcomes speaker on English genealogy research

The Genealogy Society of South Whidbey Island will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14 in the community building at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Godfrey and Merry Ellis will present the program “English Genealogy Research tools on the Internet.”

Godfrey Ellis is a family history consultant in Lacey, and he and his wife Merry were technical supports for New Family Search. He has been tracing his and English family roots, off and on, since adolescence.

Ellis recently presented English genealogy at the Washington State Conference on family history and has lectured on several cruise ships.
