Transition Whidbey holds its annual holiday gathering

December 7, 2011 · 1:57 PM

Transition Whidbey Potlucks with a Purpose! will meet at 5:30 p.m. tonight at Bayview Community Hall for its annual holiday gathering.

The gathering will be a heart-warming, belly-filling holiday get-together. The group will eat and make music and brainstorm about Transition Whidbey’s 2012 potlucks. Attendees should bring a warm soup or stew or a holiday-themed dessert if possible, plus ideas for 2012.

The potluck begins at 5:30 p.m. Bring a local potluck dish that serves four to six and your own utensils and dinnerware. The program and discussion is 6 to 8 p.m.

The suggested donation is $5, more if you can, less if you can’t.

Potlucks with a Purpose! brings the community together on the first Wednesday of each month to share good food, fun and conversation plus excellent programs and information about sustainability.

Anyone wanting childcare (ages 2-7) from 6 to 8 p.m. must RSVP to transition@whidbey.net.
