December 13, 2011 · Updated 7:14 AM

"Prayers Over Bread and Wine" will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at St. Augustine’s in-the-Woods Episcopal Church.

All are welcome to participate in this Advent program. The evening will begin with a light supper of soup, salad and bread followed by teaching and discussion led by Rev. Dr. William Seth Adams as he helps participants look at the church’s practice of praying over bread and wine from very early times.

Sunday's prayers will also be considered, with the aim to deepen and enrich one's engagement in these prayers.

The church is located at 5217 S. Honeymoon Bay Road.
