Christian Science talk delves into creation

December 16, 2011 · Updated 4:45 PM

In the late 1800s, Mary Baker Eddy wrote the “scientific statement of being,” which begins “There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all.”

This concept of “Mind,” or “Spirit,” as the only real substance is of particular interest during this time of year when God’s creation and the mission of Jesus Christ are a focal point of festivities and songs. On Sunday, Dec. 18, the Christian Science service delves more deeply into creation and its spiritual nature and how understanding creation involves understanding spiritual good.

“Spiritual sense lifts human consciousness into eternal Truth,” (“Science and Health”).

Everyone is welcome at this service that explores the creation of the universe and how understanding spirituality provides the “demarcation between the real and the unreal,” (“Science and Health”).

The service is 10:30 a.m. at 15910 Highway 525, just north of Bayview and across from Useless Bay Road. All are welcome.
