Christian Science holds joyful service on South Whidbey

December 24, 2011 · Updated 10:04 AM

The joyful Christian Science service on Christmas morning celebrates the “great light” given to us all through the birth of Jesus Christ. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” (Phillippians 4:7).

“Christ, as the spiritual or true idea of God, comes now as of old, preaching the gospel to the poor, healing the sick, and casting out evils,” ("Science and Health").

Everyone is welcome at this healing and joyful service on Christian Science; services and Sunday school begin at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 25, Christmas morning at 15910 Highway 525, just north of Bayview and across from Useless Bay Road.

“Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you,” (II Corinthians).
