'Christian Community' series starts at South Whidbey Community Church
December 29, 2011 · Updated 10:26 AM
What is “righteousness”? Pastor Darrell Wenzek is preaching a series on “Christian Community” from the First Letter of John, near the end of the New Testament.
On Sunday morning at South Whidbey Community Church, Pastor Wenzek will present the sermon, “Righteousness is not Optional,” based on 1st John 2:28-3:3, and concludes the result of an obedient life is righteousness.
Sunday worship is from 10 to 11 a.m. and is preceded by an adult learning forum at 9 with Stan Walker leading a study in the Book of First Corinthians, and Rick Zapata leading a study in the Book of Genesis: the lives of the Patriarchs. These are open classes and everyone is invited.
Home Bible studies are also offered; check the church website for times and locations.
All SWCC sermons and special adult forum events are recorded, and are available at www.whidbeychurch.org.
SWCC is a local independent, non-denominational church that welcomes everyone and gathers for worship at the Deer Lagoon Grange, 5142 Bayview Road.
