'Light And Shadow: Reflections' at Unity on Sunday
December 30, 2011 · Updated 7:30 AM
Doug Benecke will give the talk "Light And Shadow: Reflections" at the Unity of Whidbey service on Sunday.
Winter holds the seed of spring. The dark stretches in our lives - like the darkest part of the northern year - are moments on the way to illumination. Once again we have passed through the longest night and are greeting more light daily. Yet light and shadow are inevitable counterpoints in a cosmic dance we all participate in. Benecke, a songwriter, will share thoughts on connecting to, and accepting, both the light and shadowy moments in this life we all too briefly share, with spirited musical companionship.
Quin Serra will be the platform assistant.
All are welcome. The service is 10 a.m. Sunday at Unity's church at 5671 Crawford Road.
