Genealogy Society will get Civil War tips

“Researching the Civil War” will be presented by Laura Pemberton Sparr at the next meeting of the Genealogy Society of South Whidbey Island at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9 in the Trinity Lutheran Church community building.

Sparr is a past president and vice-president of the Washington Genealogical Society and a noted researcher, and is always an entertaining and informative speaker. Genealogists say her presentations are not to be missed.
