Sacrament service for Christian Scientists
January 7, 2012 · Updated 11:40 AM
Twice a year, Christian Scientists conduct a sacrament service, and this Sunday, Jan. 8, will be the first Sacrament for 2012: “What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord,” (Psalms 116: 12, 13).
“Our Eucharist is spiritual communion with the one God. Our bread, ‘which cometh down from heaven,’ is Truth. Our cup is the cross. Our wine the inspiration of Love, the draught our Master drank and commended to his followers,” ("Science and Health").
Everyone is welcome at this healing and prayerful service beginning at 10:30 a.m. at 15910 Highway 525, just north of Bayview and across from Useless Bay Road.
