Pastor to be guest speaker at Remembrances of the Heart

Rev. Jerry O’Neill from Trinity Lutheran Church will be the guest speaker at this year’s Remembrances of the Heart.

Now in its tenth year, the annual event — sponsored by Home Health Care & Hospice of Whidbey General Hospital and the WGH staff — is a memorial for and a celebration of the departed. The informational and inspirational program will include music, reflections, a guest speaker and a candlelight ritual.

This year’s program will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island in Freeland. The gathering will be casual, and refreshments will be provided.

Those who have experienced the loss of a loved one are invited to attend. Guests are welcome to bring a picture or memento in memory of a loved one for the remembrance table that will be set up during the time of gathering.

Those who cannot attend, but would still like a loved one’s name acknowledged, can call Dave Bieniek or Carla Jolley at 360-678-7605 or 321-6659 for more information.
