Pastor Wenzek gives next SWCC sermon

January 15, 2012 · Updated 9:00 AM

Pastor Darrell Wenzek returns to the pulpit at South Whidbey Community Church at the 10 a.m. worship today, and begins a series on “Threats to Christian Community.”

His sermon will be “A Warning About the Antichrist,” based on First John 4:1-6. Pastor Wenzek says, “When there is no unity around the person of Christ there is no Christian community.”

Sunday worship is from 10 to 11 a.m. and is preceded by an adult learning forum at 9 with Stan Walker leading a study in the Book of Second Corinthians, and Rick Zapata leading a study in the Book of Genesis: the lives of the patriarchs. These are open classes and everyone is invited.
