Members of South Whidbey’s cheer squad spent the day at the Roller Barn in Oak Harbor recently. They weren’t there to practice skating on in-lines or quads, however.

The cheerleaders hung out with foster kids from Kids First and donated diapers to some of the foster parents. They also hosted a Christmas party there for the families.

It’s the second year in a row the Falcon cheer team helped Kids First as its service-learning project, which second-year advisor Nicole Stayskal implemented.
