Local expert explains how to make cheese

Vicky Brown of Little Brown Farm in Freeland will give a class on homestyle cheese-making at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Deer Lagoon Grange.

Brown will introduce the different styles of fresh cheese that can be made with store-bought milk or the milk from your own goat or cow. She will

demonstrate the techniques using basic equipment, most of which is in the average kitchen.

The free class is part of the Grange’s community education program; everybody is welcome.
