Rev. Ketcham speaks on 'Music as Metaphor'

February 3, 2012 · Updated 8:27 AM

Rev. Kit Ketcham will give the talk "Music as Metaphor" on Sunday for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island.

“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent,” wrote Victor Hugo. Because of this paradox, music can be a spiritual experience. When music is experienced in worship, it has the power to give moments of spiritual transcendence.

All are welcome. Values-based children’s religious exploration classes and childcare will be provided. The service is at 10 a.m. at 20103 Highway 525, just north of Freeland. Check www.whidbey.com/uucwi for more information.
