South Whidbey students are sharp.

A few teams from South Whidbey High School showed their smarts and will represented South Whidbey at the regional Knowledge Bowl competition at Blaine High School on Monday, Feb. 6.

Knowledge Bowl is a trivia-based competition that pits schools against one another in a battle of wits. The Falcon brainiacs accounted for one-third of the small schools to advance to the regional match.

A group of more than 20 students participated in Knowledge Bowl this season, and 18 will travel to Blaine for a chance at the state tournament in March.

The students are: Claire Hofius, Dinah Hassrick, Will Mellish, Kellen Field, Oakley Haight, Dane Heggenes, Zoe Hensler, Holly Huey, Gabe Frishman, Ramona Fankhauser, Sommer Harris, Jenny Zisette, Logan Skelstad, Caitlyn Workman, Jermiah Robey, Lisa Sparks, Bo Brown, Emma Lungren and Josie Dodd.
