Rev. Bruce Bode, minister at the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Port Townsend, will explore issues of forgiveness at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island service on Sunday in a talk titled “Is Forgiveness Always Called For?”

What is forgiveness and what is it not? Does forgiving mean forgetting? How does forgiveness relate to justice?

Bode is in his eighth year at Quimper and prior to that served Unitarian Universalist congregations in Texas and Oklahoma and an independent liberal congregation in Michigan.

All are welcome. Values-based children’s religious exploration classes and childcare will be provided. The service is at

10 a.m. at 20103 Highway 525, just north of Freeland.
