The Tilth Homesteading class series features “Your Successful Organic Vegetable Garden” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 at the Deer Lagoon Grange Hall.

This ever-popular beginning food gardening class will be taught by Anza Muenchow and will offer participants help choosing a garden site, understanding microclimate concerns, soil preparation, and cultural requirements for the best veggies to grow here on Whidbey. The class plans to cover a lot in one session but will offer time for specific questions after the presentation.

The cost is $15; half price for Tilth and Grange members. For more information, call Muenchow at 579-2892.
