RELIGION NOTES | Humanism vs. spiritualism

July 27, 2012 · Updated 3:48 PM

Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Whidbey Island, 20103 Highway 525, Freeland, deals with “Humanism vs. Spirituality” at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 29.

Humanism and spirituality are two strong themes in Unitarian Universalism. The former values the rational and the latter embraces a more insubstantial “sacred.” Are they polar opposites or can they be compatible? Childcare is available, but there will be no religious exploration classes in July or August. Check www.whidbey.com/uucwi for more information.
