RELIGION NOTES | Why Old and New Testaments

October 19, 2012 · Updated 3:20 PM

Have you ever considered why God provided both an Old and New Testament? A guest speaker will tackle that question at the 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 service at South Whidbey Community Church in Langley.

The fact that God does not change is a joy that is confirmed by every student of the Bible as that reality is revealed through both testaments and in all 66 books. In Luke 24, Jesus appears to two of His disciples to teach them this important lesson.

All those interested are invited to come and hear about that lesson as Pastor Justin Evans from Taylor Creek Church of Maple Valley presents it during the Sunday worship service. An adult Bible study in the Book of James will begin at 9 a.m.

South Whidbey Community Church is an independent Bible church that gathers to worship God, study His word, and encourage one another. It meets at the Deer Lagoon Grange, 5142 Bayview Road, Langley. For information, call 221-1220.
