Unity presents a timeless talk | RELIGION NOTES

December 1, 2012 · Updated 8:53 AM

Unity of Whidbey, 5671 Crawford Road, will hear speaker Doug Benecke address “Timeless Time” on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.

We inhabit time, you might say, like prisoners in a locked room. We are in time, and only in time do we exist. Yet it may be that we are or can be in time but not of it. The prisoner may escape confinement through their devotions, through their own practices of consciousness, prayer, mindfulness. Sunday’s lesson asks how we can live within our mortal limits, but also connect with what is limitless. To live in time, but touch the timeless, daily, is the center point of reflections offered by songwriter and speaker Benecke, with musical guests. Karen McInerney will be platform assistant.
