Harmony requires secure source | RELIGION NOTES

December 8, 2012 · Updated 4:45 PM

“Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot” (Psalms 16: 1, 5).

On Sunday, Dec. 9, the Christian Science service considers the many claims the physical world makes about where we can find support in life: the government, technology, medicine, investments or even luck, such as the lottery. As such structures fail, we realize that our harmony — everything we need — requires support from a more secure source. We do have a permanent resource that will not let us down: “God has built a higher platform of human rights, and He has built it on diviner claims … In divine Science, man is sustained by God, the divine Principle of being” (Science and Health).

Everyone is welcome at 10:30 a.m. at 15910 Highway 525 (just north of Bayview and across from Useless Bay Road).
