RELIGION NOTES | Augustine’s honors peacemakers

St. Augustine’s-in-the Woods Episcopal church will host the eighth annual Whidbey Island Martin Luther King, Jr. Blessed be the Peace Makers” event Monday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m.

The singing of civil rights anthems and Afro-American spirituals will again be an highlight of the service. Karl Olsen, the Trinity Lutheran music minister, will lead the singing.

Retired Benton — Franklin County Superior Court Judge Dennis Yule, will be the speaker.
