Freeland WWU student wins scholarship | KUDOS

Western Washington University student Samantha Marie O’Brachta, daughter of Frank and Linda O’Brachta of Freeland, received the $1,000 AAF Seattle Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year.

The AAF Seattle Scholarship is awarded to a minority student who is studying communication, journalism with a public relations or visual journalism sequence.

Samantha O’Brachta graduated from Whidbey Island Academy in 2009, and is a senior with a 3.2 GPA at Western studying public relations. She is also interested in theater and photography.
