Langley Middle School teacher wins national award

Erik Jokinen worked hard to get kids healthy and active. And it has again caught the attention of his peers who nominated him the physical education teacher of the year.

Jokinen, who teaches PE at Langley Middle School, will be honored at the National Association for Sport and Physical Education Hall of Fame Banquet on April 26. He will represent Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Alaska.
